The first step I took to remove the chemicals from my life was to try some old fashioned recipes for cleaning. I found that mixing up my own cleaners was fun and that they really worked.

I was also lucky enough to find a laundry soap recipe that my great grandmother probably used back in the late 1800’s. I located all the ingredients, put them together and found that the laundry soap worked REALLY well. I started collecting and testing more of these old recipes and put them all together in a book I called: The Joy Of Green Cleaning.

Now – don’t laugh at the name of my book! Cleaning can be fun if you take the toxins out of it! You’ll find that once you take the toxins out of your life, your home can be clean AND healthy.

I travel the country talking to people about how to green their cleaning. I have converted hundreds of women and they have agreed to share their success stories with you. They are a cross between a sponge and a paper towel that you can reuse numerous times. They are suppose to last 6 weeks (but mine are over a year old) I just pop them in the washer and dryer and they keep on working.
